The real estate community is mourning the loss of one of REI’s most popular educators and a leader in his niche industry. Gene Guarino, founder of the Residential Assisted Living Academy™, passed away the night of October 13th.
Guarino single-handedly transformed the RAL (Residential Assisted Living) industry from a little-known niche to the leading and most-organized investment choice of savvy and altruistic entrepreneurs.
His mantra of “do good and do well” is one that he followed in his professional and personal life.
His wise and witty phrase caught on quickly and transformed the lives of thousands across the nation — from RAL residents to property owners.
In fact, Guarino trained thousands of sophisticated investors and entrepreneurs on how to correctly invest in and operate residential assisted living homes — in any location around the country. Even prior to his commencement in the REI industry, Guarino had been educating people on the strategies of successful investing, business and self-employment for over 25 years.
As a trained Certified Financial Planner, Guarino’s specialized investment knowledge positively transformed the lives of thousands of students throughout the United States.
Guarino’s fervent passion and gentle guidance has made Residential Assisted Living Academy™ now America’s #1 source for senior care home investment and business education.
Guarino leaves behind not only a thriving and expanding educational company, but an organized RAL association dedicated to continuing his legacy, knowledge and resources.
As the founder of the AL Family of companies which includes: RAL Academy,Family Legacy Homes, AL Network, RAL National Association, RAL National Convention and RAL Charitable Foundation, Gene spoke in over 50 cities and five countries on Residential Assisted Living, and the opportunities for business owners, operators, investors and entrepreneurs.
Additionally, Guarino trained over 300,000 people over the past 30 years on topics ranging from real estate investing, starting your own business, and entrepreneurship.
At 60 years young, Guarino’s greatest accomplishments were fueled by a deep love for his family.
In the late 2000s, Gene’ s beloved mother became ill and needed assisted living. His personal journey to find the absolute best care for his mother led him to learn about Residential Assisted Living a specialized niche within real estate investing.
That was the basis of his business, a pure love for his mom. Now, his wife, Mona, their four children and spouses are continuing his incredible legacy.
In just 10 years in the Assisted Living space, Guarino accomplished more professionally than most individuals do in a lifetime.
Not only did be become the leading educator of this niche, but he organized an entire academy and association dedicated to RAL’s teachings and their future advancement.
Readers may recall that Gaurino was featured in the previous cover of Realty411 magazine. In fact, Guarino specifically shared how he built his expansive RAL empire and how he set up his legacy to ensure it would continue.
